Baltimore has bus lane monitoring enablement at the state. We should work to get street sweeper mounted cameras enablement legislation to do automatic citations of vehicles parked in street sweeper zones, and then implement it either with pre-route patrol cars that auto-ticket vehicles parked in a street sweeper zone during street sweeping hours, or that are mounted to street sweepers themselves. The former would allow for a notification system to alert the street sweeper when a street is unsweepable so they can skip it, reducing wear and total active sweeper vehicle capacity needed at the cost of needing patrol vehicles doing the citations.
Right now DOT would need to manually cite illegally parked cars per-vehicle, which is hugely time consuming compared to automated enforcement.
