Because the 311 program has acccounts and trackable submissions per account holder, we can tie those accounts to other city servvices to incentivize 311 reporting.
Each month, a rotating 311 target enforcement categeory would be posted on the main page of the app and website. The revolving categories would be:
Then each month, residents with linked accounts that file relevant 311s that get approved as valid will get $1? off their (note - it has to be a tracked payment people make to the city):
In additon, this legislation could be used to leverage citizen bounty hunting of parking tickets. Residents that report illegal parking, expired plates, etc at any time that result in a paid citation can get 2%? 5%? 10%? of the fee back in expense deductables, up to an annual limit of say $50? $100? $500? $1000? This could double dip with the aformentioned class of rotation fixed fee reports, or could replace that rotation item entirely.
